What will the apprentice be doing?
An excellent opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to undertake an apprenticeship to become a fully trained Auto-care technician with Milestone Infrastructure Limited. Excellent and extensive on the job training will be given by the company with the apprenticeship qualification being undertaken with a local college.
Duties will include:
- Contribute to maintaining a healthy and safe workplace, including the maintenance of key equipment and carrying out general housekeeping
- Carry out vehicle safety inspections and routine maintenance in line with manufactures specifications or approved schedules, company procedures and complete approved documentation
- Use a range of specialist tools & equipment, mechanical & electrical measuring tools and diagnostic equipment to support fault identification and repair
- Access vehicle technical data to inform inspections and make judgements on wear and serviceability
- Communicate effectively with colleagues
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- You will enrol onto Autocare Technician Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard
- Functional skills in maths and English if required
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
As a Milestone Apprentice, you will be recruited on a permanent contract and after completing your apprenticeship you will be promoted into the business. You will also have further development opportunity through professional qualification or training courses.
