Milestone Infrastructure is currently looking to recruit Traffic Management Operatives to work on our Devon Highways contract in Devon County wide.
As a Traffic Management Operative, you will be part of our Devon Highways who are responsible for Works on the Highway network in Devon, you will support our self-delivery model supporting and providing Traffic Management on the Devon Highways contract for our teams working on the Network.
As a Traffic Management Operative your duties & responsibilities will be:
- To promote health and safety culture and be responsible for undertaking works in a safe and compliant manner
- To be responsible for undertaking programmed maintenance works as directed by the Agent
- To assist in the improvement and maintenance of the network asset
- To undertake emergency, call out as directed
To ensure all traffic management is set up in accordance with the ACOP
- Installing, maintaining and removing temporary traffic management such as deploying cones, signs, frames, sandbags and other equipment on low-speed roads.
- Undertaking traffic counts, calls to clients and subcontractors, timings and near misses
- Maintenance of temporary traffic lights
Skills & Knowledge Requirements
- Qualified up to 12D M6 highly desirable
- T1 / T2 qualified
- Knowledge of Chapter 8
- Physically fit and able to pass a safety critical worker medical and any other relevant medical assessments your offer will depend on the outcome of this
- You will possess a full driving licence,

- Meticulous attention to detail
- The installation, maintenance, removal and recording of temporary traffic management and control systems
- Working unsupervised for all general traffic management duties which you will be trained for and be competent to undertake as part of a team
- Completing traffic management day to day
Additional Information
- You must possess a high degree of manual dexterity demonstrated through the use of hand tools.
- You will be required to work outdoors in all weathers and be required to walk and stand on uneven ground.
- You must also be able to work within a confined space, without restriction.
