About The Role

We are looking for a talented M&E Project Manager to join our expanding team. You will be working on a varied portfolio of electrification projects for clients within the Rail sector.

The Project Manager is responsible for managing electrical projects from start to finish. This includes leading a team of electricians or electrical engineers, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget, and communicating with clients and stakeholders. They also need to have a sound understanding of electrical systems and codes within the Rail sector

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Determine and define project scope and objectives
  • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
  • Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
  • Track project costs in order to meet budget
  • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
  • Full accountability of both accurate forecasting and profit margins
  • Manage contracts with stakeholders and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
  • Utilise industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
  • Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed
  • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
  • Contract reviews

Knowledge, skills, behaviour, and experience required:

    • Proven track record managing complex projects.
    • Knowledge of industry working practises and standards from project award to completion including those of Network rail
    • Commitment to the highest practicable standards of health and safety and environmental protection.
    • Working knowledge and understanding of CDM roles and SHEQ duties.
    • Experience in planning software (MSP or P6 or similar)
    • Exceptional contract awareness and understanding of standard forms of contract such as NEC 3 or 4, ICE, JCT.
    • Recognised site safety management course.
    • Strong leadership and role modelling skills. 
    • Desire for self-development and continuous self-improvement.
    • Demonstrate the companies’ values and behaviours.
    • Qualified to latest BS7671 regulations
