We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Civil Engineer to join the team and learn alongside our experienced engineers about how to be responsible for the daily control, management, and coordination of construction activities on site to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the required safety, environmental and quality standards. With the support of your work-based mentor, your responsibilities will increase as your skills and technical knowledge develop.

Key responsibilities:
- The design of highway improvement, active travel, cycling, road safety, lining and signing schemes.
- Development of drawings and reports.
- Utilise relevant design software to assist in the development of solutions;
- Undertaking designs and producing design packages for construction;
- Produce technical reports and other technical output to achieve project outcomes;
- Undertake site visits, surveys and investigations;
- Ensure work is undertaken in compliance with QSE standards and processes;
- Working collaboratively with customers to understand and develop project objectives.
Skills and Experience:
- Knowledge of structures analytical software and its use within a bridges environment (desirable)
- Knowledge of National Highways standards such as the DMRB and MCDHW (preferred)
- Knowledge of Health and Safety and Construction Design Management (CDM) in design and construction
- Computer literate particularly with packages such as Microsoft Excel and Word, and AutoCad (desirable)
- Driving License
