About The Role

We are looking for a Commercial Assistant to join our Infrastructure Services Projects Team onsite at Hinkley Point. In this role you will provide commercial support for a Project, working closely with the operational team

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Provide assistance to the Senior Quantity Surveyor / Managing Quantity Surveyor and site Commercial Teams:
  •  Assisting with site records
  • Assisting in compilation of subcontract enquiries and the selection of suppliers
  • Preparation of subcontractor’s accounts
  • Assisting with the production of CVR’s and Forecasts
  • Review System Cost each month and prepare and process any transfers required
  • Review System accruals each month and liaise with commercial teams on queries
  • Review some subcontractor applications, prepare payments and payment notices
  • Help prepare Final Accounts backups and backup spreadsheets for submission to the Employer
  • Prepare evidence for KPI’s during the year
  • Maintain QS files and filing system
  • Become competent in commercial site procedures, systems, cost control and change management
  • Adherence to Milestone policies and procedures
  •  Ad hoc duties as job requires
  • Assist with timesheet administration, reporting and review
  • Production of/management of client invoicing and tracking of payments
  • Involvement with Purchase Ledger functions
  • Monitoring of Finance mailboxes for the scheme engaged on

We’re looking for:

  • Have or working towards a degree/HND in Quantity Surveying or other relevant subject
  • Relevant CSCS card
  • Good command and communication of oral and written English
  • Good people / organisational skills
  • IT proficient, particularly in MS Excel
  • Self-motivated, methodical, analytical
  • Construction experience desirable
